Thank You for Three Years!

Happy September, My Friend!

This email marks the start of my fourth year of writing to you! It was August 31, 2021, when I mailed my first newsletter meant to encourage you, dear reader. I sincerely hope that I have done just that. I’ve never quite known how long to keep doing this, but I have yet to get a clear message to stop, so onward I’ll go.

This will be a short note today, as I only want to say a quick thank you. Thank you for your notes back to me. They have encouraged me right back. These letters land in your email box on Tuesday mornings, but I sit and write them on Monday afternoons. Monday afternoons have become my favorite time of the week. I love sorting out thoughts in my head, wondering, What should I write about this week? I usually write in my head as the week goes on, but Monday is when I get to sit down and hammer it all into my computer.

I know I’ve told you this before, but many times over the past few years, I have asked myself and God, “What am I supposed to be doing right now? The kids are grown. My husband is still working. What do I do?” I felt like God was answering me, “Feed My sheep.” Now, I know that’s what Jesus told Peter a long time ago, but it seemed like that was what I was supposed to do, too. And, for right now, one of the ways I can feed God’s sheep is to offer encouragement in whatever way I can. And my favorite way to do that is with words.

So, thank you for reading them, and thank you for offering encouragement back to me. Let me close by saying a hearty, “Come on, Morning! Come on, Year Four!”

Praying your spirits are more high than low this week!
